In 2007 the group initiated a Marie Curie Initial Training Network (MC-ITN). The network with the name MC-PAD is providing excellent training opportunities on particle detectors for the next generation of particle physics experiments and applications in other fields.

The network comprises 9 academic partners and 5 associated partners, incl. 3 industrial ones. In total, 22 positions (61 person-years) are available for PhD students and post-docs. 5 of the positions are at CERN.
