Magnet Controls (Homepage)

We provide instrumentation and control systems for CERN experiments. In the case of the LHC project and most particularly for the experimental magnets, we developed and installed the Magnet Control Project (MCP). The MCP is composed of two systems:

  • Magnet Control System (MCS) based on PLC and PVSS supervisor programming in accordance with CERN UNICOS standard.
  • Magnet Safety System (MSS) based on electronic hardware to insure the personal and magnet safety.
