ALFA stands for Absolute Luminosity For ATLAS. We are involved in the development of scintillating fibre detectors which are foreseen to be operated in Roman Pots very close to the LHC beam axis. We built prototype detectors which were successfully tested in various a beam test at DESY and at CERN. We are involved in the finalization of the detector design and the series production.
